The Boot Scootin’ Benefit Was A GREAT Way To Spend A Saturday Night!

A Special thank you to everyone who came out to the Grove City YMCA’s Bootin’ Benefit on March 12th!  This family geared event did not disappoint.   As soon as you walked in the door YMCA volunteers buzzed around the facility in their colorful cowboy gear and the smell of popcorn and cotton candy filled the air.

The event started filling up at 6pm sharp!

Children tugging on their parents to take a ride on the horse drawn hay ride located outside at the front entrance.  There was also a kid size Mechanical Bull, petting zoo, games and crafts, inflatables, swimming in the heated pool, and so much to do at every turn.

Focus and Anticipation before this wild ride started!

But this event wasn’t just for the kids, there was an awesome live country band, the delicious chuck wagon dinner was provided by the local Long Horn Steak House, and The Silent Auction had tables full of amazing offerings.  All in all it was a great way to spend a Saturday Night and help a GREAT cause!

I can’t end this post without telling you a little about the charity that orchestrated this event.

PODS ® Columbus Ohio has always had strong ties to Grove City YMCA, when asked if we would like to help sponsor this Boot Scootin’ Benefit, the answer was an enthusiastic “Of Coarse”!  This event was arranged by one of the Ohio Central YMCA’s charities, People Helping People’s, “Just One” .  With the continued struggle in this current economy, this group raises money to help provide child care so parents can work or search for employment, help men and women who are “on the verge” of becoming homeless, provide equipment  for those who have mobile challenges, diabetes prevention and management programs, and so much more.

As you can see this organization gets right down to the roots of our local communities, and PODS ® Columbus, OH. is just honored to have been a part of this event helping this life changing charity.
